One of my favourite events of the year has come around again. Despite the fact that I don’t solely use Linux for my audio work, I really do believe in Linux as a great basis for a DAW. There’s some excellent software being developed, and some of the most innovative stuff musically and artistically is happening in Linux right now.
The conference goes on until Sunday 30th April and I’ll be watching all the streams and spending my days on IRC. The joys of having no fixed employment really come in to their own in these situations. Every year I say ‘next year I’ll be there in person’ – well this is the fourth year, and I’m still not there but I live in hope!
